Indira Burgos

Indira Burgos is a Mexican native fashion designer and fashion illustrator based in Austin, Texas. She started her fashion path at 18 years old, where her dream was to design high-couture apparel and gowns, but quickly found a love for swimwear at the beachside of the Pacific.  To pursue her dreams, she studied fashion design in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she earned a diploma in beachwear at the Italian School, Istituto di Moda Burgo.  After that, Indira transferred to Austin Community College, earning an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Fashion Design.  At ACC, she had the chance to design and present her first collection, La Vita Salata, on the runway.  Inspired by her time in Italy, the collection featured vibrant colors and prints, illustrated and designed by her. She has been working as a live fashion illustrator at events for over three years, and is in the process of launching her own swimwear brand.

Indira’s Work

Indira’s favorite medium is Alcohol-based markers. They are both familiar with her fashion design process and allow her to create vibrant and colorful illustrations that resonate.
